I Hate Valentine's Day

When I was married my jerk of an ex would use it to replace items like a broken toaster or frying pans (God forbid you replace a toaster just because it breaks; it has to be a gift-giving occasion!)Now I'm in a long-distance relationship with no hope of seeing my man on Valentine's Day.  Does anyone else feel this way, or am I just being selfish and cynical?!

You have kids, right? Love on your kids a little extra tomorrow, make something special for them, play a game, watch movies, etc. Valentine's Day doesn't have to be just for lovers...

 at least you get something, its like pulling nails to get what i need!! heck the rose bush my daughter gave me for mothers day he yanked out of the ground and threw in the trash....hed better be glad i love him otherwise hed be out the door carrying everything he can and the rest is mine!!

You're not being selfish. I just try to focus on making it a special day for my son. I put together a goodie basket for him and we make valentine cards for family.
