No! I don't have kids in daycare but I would want to see for myself, and I wouldn't tell the mothers if I were the provider.

I think you should tell the parent when the child does something. When I have babysat kids full time, I would tell the parent anything the baby/child did that day. Even what food they ate, how they liked it. What games we played. What they are learning and picking up on.

I know it's hard on a mom when these things happen and they "missed" it, but at least they need to know how their child is progressing. I think even if it does hurt them a bit, they still feel connected if they know.

My kids were never in daycare but once when my daughter was getting close to taking her first steps my dad was watching her for me while I went to the Dr and I said please don't tell me if she walks while I'm gone. Well she did and my dad told me. I was so upset and cried the whole way home. So I would not tell the parents what they missed.

Cant possibly catch everything they do for the first time in their lives.

It is, what it is

Im grateful for just being in their lives.
Im in reality that kids will do things for the first time on a daily basis and as a parent i would love to see every moment of their live of course, but the truth is if you get to see everything, you way far up their asses. Let the kid breathe
Even as a sahm you cant be there every second for everything
Thats how life rolls
