want something for Valentines day? I mean really doesn't want or expect anything.

I don't get the big deal, not sure I will ever understand. My husband is lucky, I guess.

And to those bitching about not getting something or not getting enough, I have to spend all night comforting my husband who has a medical procedure tomorrow to find out if he's sick or not.

So, get over it.

I  never really made V day a big deal...but all the stupid media publicity does get to me a bit, I think I would feel a little disappointed to not get at least a card.

I don't think my husband is unlucky because he gets me things for vday. Good for you and yours though.

I didn't want anything, but I ended up getting a 6 CD set of 1950s malt shop songs. I love it. We exchanged gifts this year just because it's the first year we haven't struggled and I'm glad he thought about what I'd actually want, and not just picked something off the shelf.

We are going bowling when he gets off work, but it's mostly because the "holiday" makes it $1 day.

Meh.

We just go to dinner. Vday is no big deal to me. I buy myself stuff all the time.

Best wishes for your hubs.
