That's what I'm saying. It's first grade math homework. I would think it was by 3s if it weren't for the 4...

Could be an error. Or it may be asking which number doesn't belong in the pattern?

Maybe they messed up and the 4 is supposed to be a 6

I'm wondering if its a typo. It's a "fill in the blank to show what would come next" question and then it asks what the rule of the pattern is.

It would be counting by 3 if it weren't for the 4. It's probably an error.
