Going annon because I'm not sure if she's on CM.

So SIL who's 18 ran errands with me yesterday. She said they (FIL, Step MIL, BIL and her) are looking for a place to rent. I ask why because they own the house they're in. She says step SIL (18) has accused BIL (15) of raping her.....

We know 100% that it isn't true because she's accused another guy before and later recanted. She is also very clingy towards him and gets mad when he does stuff without her. She has a son who will be two in April and has him call BIL Dada unless someone corrects her, then she gets mad. The father is in and out of the pic and yes it's been proven by DNA.

They're looking for a place to rent because she lives with them now and they don't want to cause anymore issues but they also don't want their grandson to be homeless.

My question is: If she pressed charges what could be done since she's the "adult" and he's underage?

I'm sorry if this is confusing. I was trying to figure out a way to explain everything.

If he raped her he could be charged regardless of her age. He may or may not be charged as an adult. But that sounds like a mess.

I've never heard of that. I'll have to Google it later. We're in GA.

I don't understand why they are moving out of their home that they own b/c of her. Seems like she should be the one to leave.

Because then their grandson would be out too. She wouldn't have anywhere to go.

From what I know of a situation similar to this no matter what the age of the boy compared to the girl if she says she was raped he could be charged. I'm not sure of the statute of your state if he could be charged as an adult or a minor. If she accused him of rape was a kit done at a hospital or is it just her word? I think they need more proof than just her saying oh he raped me.
