Mom Confessions Mom Confessions

I would never allow my child to speak this way.

Go ahead and bash, but I feel as if it is unacceptable to use the slang words "ain't", "ya'll", or "id-n't" around my child. Especially if you know proper English. I will be teaching my child to use proper English, and I can understand if some people were raised that way. But for the love of Christ, teach your children right.
I am currently trying to figure out how to address this.. I guess I am just going to have to tell people straight out, because dropping hints isn't working.
This is America.. Or shall I say "'MURICA". -___- Don't ask why other countries think we are stupid..

Really, all you have to do is not talk that way yourself. I don't, my kids never did.  It's uneducated.

My whole family talks that way... I live in Oklahoma, so it's pretty common. :/

Lmao.. I feel you!

When my daughter was two and a half years old she rolled her little shopping cart into the kitchen and said "I need to go to the store because I don't have no........I don't have any food in my fridge."

I called my mom (a former English teacher) right away, I was so proud I could have cried! lol
