What are some interesting facts about your hometown?

My state was neutral during the Civil War, but my hometown was split in half. The North side was for slavery & the South side was against. The stores on Main have doors on both sides, so they could get business from both. :)

From the same time period, I believe it's still illegal for African Americans to be out after dark. (obviously it isn't enforced anymore).

It's also "Black Squirrel City" (there are also some interesting black/brown combos running around).

I was born in Katy, TX. I don't know much about it.

Then I lived in Bedias, which is smaller than a dot on a map.

Bob Dylan is from my town. He was booed off stage during a high school performance and hasn't returned since he became famous.
