not sure, I know I have things that need to be done and children to take care of so I just push through being tired and usually find energy somehow. it's my fault I don't get enough sleep, DH works late so I try and stay up to hang out with him since he can't go straight to bed when he gets home then I'm up a few hours later getting DS ready for school and feeding DD.

Be careful it can screw up your kidneys

Quoting bellawomen:

I take this nightly for migraine prevention (as I cannot take NSAIDs) as part of my medication regime. Sometimes I get tired in 30-45 minutes, most times it has no effect. If I have a migraine, it knocks me out like a log.

I used to take Benadryl a couple times a week

I have been living on 4 hours a sleep for almost 7 years now.

I hit the bed between 11:30 and midnight, and I get up with my husband when he gets up for work around 3:30. I used to try to lay back down and sleep for another hour or so before I had to get the kids up, but quickly realized that I was even more tired and it was really hard to get moving again, so I just stay up. The kids get up at 6:30, get ready for school, I drop them off around 8:00, and have to be to work a couple towns away be 9:00. I get off at 2:00 run any errands I have to get done, hit the house with about a half hour to spare before kids and hubby start to roll in and our evening of homework, dinner, activities, etc. begins.

Rinse and repeat!

It has just become my schedule and my body has simply adjusted over the years.

About once a month I will crash on a Friday night and my family will let me sleep until I wake up on my own about 10-12 hours later. That seems to be my "catch up time".

I just get up and go because I have no choice really. I get up at 6 or 6:15 depending how much I love the snooze button that morning and leave at 6:30 for work. After a while it just becomes your routine. Though on the weekends and over the summer (I work for a local school system) I get to sleep in as long as the kids will let me.

You just get used to it .and take naps when your child does. Lucky for me my almost 4yo still has 2 hour naps in the day.
