He's been having a hard time breathing through his nose all day. They took him back for weight and just came and told us they were keeping him and we could go back in a half hour. They have to start a heploc and hey chest xrays. I'm so worried. I can't stop crying.

they just brought him back to me!!!! Omg. I'm so relieved. I just got done pumping for him, too.

My DD spent 30 days in the NICU, but she was born at 34 weeks. Was he full term?

I know it is frightening, but he will be okay. NICU is amazing. My son had to go directly to the NICU and I did not get to see him for over 12 hours. He was in respiratory distress and had metabolic acidosis and developed jaundice and could not maintain his body temp. After a week, he went home and is now a wonderful young man of 19. It is frightening, but the babies in the NICU get the very best care available and I found that the nurses in NICU LOVE their jobs.
