He's been having a hard time breathing through his nose all day. They took him back for weight and just came and told us they were keeping him and we could go back in a half hour. They have to start a heploc and hey chest xrays. I'm so worried. I can't stop crying.

they just brought him back to me!!!! Omg. I'm so relieved. I just got done pumping for him, too.

I'm very sorry. Maybe he is just having a hard time transitioning to the outside world. Keep us posted.

I can't go back there with him. I'm flipping outnothing had ever been wrong with my babies.

My DD spent 30 days in the NICU, but she was born at 34 weeks. Was he full term?

Probably for support and a distraction. Not that hard to figure out :-)

I know it is frightening, but he will be okay. NICU is amazing. My son had to go directly to the NICU and I did not get to see him for over 12 hours. He was in respiratory distress and had metabolic acidosis and developed jaundice and could not maintain his body temp. After a week, he went home and is now a wonderful young man of 19. It is frightening, but the babies in the NICU get the very best care available and I found that the nurses in NICU LOVE their jobs.
