we just run the towels on the hottest setting....does the same thing as bleach except doesnt ruin color
I use bleach too on whites, but it's not because of a germ phopia.. it's to get them clean. My husband tends to throw his wet towels in the hamper and they get musty. He also gets nose bleeds and I find blood stains on the towels. It's because of his nose bleeds that I bought white towels to begin with.. so I could bleach them.
I do too, but I don't think of it as a major germ phobia. Just being "clean" Lol
White vinegar will disinfect, soften, get rid of soap residue and deodorize your laundry and anything else which is cleaned with it and you don't run the huge risk of it eating through the fabric (in the laundry) or having to deal with the dangerous fumes.
White vinegar and peroxide each of them can be used as a whitener as can lemon juice(on whites only).
