Should I HAVE to change plans?

We are planning my daughters birthday party for this coming weekend. So I called my brother and told him that his 5 kids are invited to go to chuck e cheese for dd's birthday. He then proceeds to tell me to pick a different place cause my nephew (who is 5) is afraid of the animatronic animals. He suggests we go to bonkers( its like chuck e cheese but not animatronics)

Should I just change the venue to bonkers so dd can spend her birthday with all my brother's kids or tell him tough shit? I feel like I shouldn't have to
change plans for MY child's birthday to suit HIS kids, but at the same time I would like all the kids to be included.

If I tell him no, none of the kids will be allowed to go. Ill add that the 5 year old is my brother's "favorite" child.

Is he offering to pay? Lol will it be more expensive? Are other kids invited?

I think it's a pretty unreasonable request from the brother....

But, do you want the kids at the party or not?

I wouldn't - it's your daughter's day.
Then again, I've been burned by family for changing things to suit them.

Tough one. I would change venues unless reservations are already set.

Personally, I would because it is the nice thing to do.

I told him we would pay for the food and drinks but he has to pay for his kids tokens to play the games. We only do family gatherings for birthdays and my oldest brothers kids live in montana so its just the 5 kids.

The birthday girl should get to choose.

Tell him to be a good uncle and 'suck it up'!  :)
