A CHRISTIAN POST

I have all the knowledge in the world about fools despising wisdom and instruction; however IDK how that ties in with Christianity.  I would think someone thirsting for knowledge and wisdom would have more questions that just blind faith.

This verse doesn't say anything about blind faith. It says "the BEGINING of KNOWLEDGE is fear of the Lord".  That is the first building block for learning.

The bible stated scientific fact when the common belief was that there was a thousand some odd stars and the earth was flat. Just like then the knowledge that the world has is only but a fraction dependant on perception. For me it takes a lot more faith to believe in an evolutionary standpoint. There are actually statistics that state how small the odds are in just the first few cells.

Fear of God is not the same thing as fear of death, fear of the dark, or whatever. It is a very deep respect and awe. There are many, many verses in the Bible that tell us NOT to be afraid.

I don't think fear is the right word at all.
