I find it Disturbing When...EDIT

New parents rush home with their baby after giving birth, esp a preemie, and rush to put the child alone in the crib...it just puzzles me to no end...my friend just had her grandchild born 6weeks early, and as soon as they got her home finally, they put her alone in the crib.. i just can't fathom putting a newborn alone in a crib as soon as i got home from the hospital- i wanted them on me or near me at all times.
Edit: It's NOT about co-sleeping..it's about bringing your preemie home from the hospital after a life threatening birth, and rushing to park the child alone in a crib two doors down the hall from yours....i don't understand that mentality.
Where are they suppose to put the baby
In a draw?
Or carry the kid everywhere?
Thats stupid
In the hospital they are alone in their bassinets, nurses arent with them all the time
And not everyone wants a bassinet or have space for one
and i find that very different than coming home and plopping your newborn in a crib two doors down the hall

This is us & my kids
We had their cribs in our room for the first 4 months but they didnt sleep with us.
Quoting Anonymous:My friend did that, too. It made for better sleep habits. Their kid now goes to bed nicely and doesn't leave her room at midnight.
Poor family
Quoting Anonymous:If you are disturbed every time someone does something you don't agree with, you must be disturbed all day long.

you missed the point...rather horribly i might add

It's a crib, not a torture device.get over it. Babies sleep.
DD was 3 weeks early. She slept in our (new parent) arms for two weeks until we were so sleep deprived we decided we HAD to do something else. Against all book suggestions we put her in her swing and let her sleep.
