I agree completely.  My husband does not have the ability to "allow me" to do anything.  I am a grown woman and I will share with him my plans because he is my partner, but he can't tell me I can't do it.  If that were the case he'd probably tell me I couldn't go to Afghanistan like I am planning to do.

My husband is that way.  He's a huge control freak and if I try to stand up for myself or the kids, he calls me a control freak.  He has control of the money, makes decisions without me and treats me like one of his children...
