My 3yo came in my room last night after bedtime and asked me where my husband and I got her and her sister from. I told her to go to bed and we will talk about it in the morning because I wasn't quite sure how to explain it to her truthfully but also age appropriately.
So my question for you moms is what would you tell your 3yo? I want to be as honest as possible so no stork stories lol.

I told my four year old that her daddy loved me so much that he gave me the baby. And she didn't ask anymore questions after that. She focused more on telling her daddy how nice that was. lol

For a three year old, I would just say something about how both parents wanted someone special to love very much, so they made a baby and mommy carried it inside her until it was big enough to hug, and then she was born. God it sounds so cheesy typing that though. XD

Im gonna go with that Hugo car commercial and talk about a planet full of babies of all kinds that get in their baby space ships and launch to earch and parachute down to their mommy & daddy.
