We are first going to spend about $1500 give or take a few $$ on furniture. We are getting a sectional cost between $700 to $1000. then we are getting the kids new beds. My daughter is getting a daybed trundle, and my son is getting a twin trundle.  the 2 beds together will be between $500 to $600.

Then we are getting our house sprayed. My neighbors has roaches and they have gotten to  our house (nasty).

Then my husband is getting a PS3  around $200

I am replacing my laptop that is going to be around $400.

My daughter wants a new MP3 player and some converses boots.

My son just wants toys lol

Then i am putting some money back to take my kids to do something fun.  I asked my boss for 2 days off in the middle of March (around my sons birthday) so we can all go and do something fun, since we haven't done anything in 3 years.

That will probably leave us around $2000 to put back.

Before anyone says anything. I do not have any debt, all of my bills are paid. I don't have any problem buying Christmas because i save for it all year. We were going to move but have decided against it for now.

So what did you do with your tax return or what do you plan on doing with your tax return?

I split it into thirds (it's about $1500 total.. changed my exemptions but obviously not enough - was aiming for $0)... 1/3 went towards my savings for new tires, 1/3 went towards savings for a flight to California, 1/3 went towards general savings/debt repayment.

I bought a car w my refund. I still have a nice cushion in my bank for any incidentals that can arise. It feels good to be a car owner again!!
