A law I actually agree with!

Posted by Anonymous   + Show Post

Here in Connecticut they are trying to pass a law that makes it illegal to smoke cigarettes in a car with children in car seats. Sorry I don't have a link though. I really hope it goes through. It's about time!

Quoting ElitestJen:

Quoting HippiePotPie279:

that should be a law everywhere!!!!!!! as well as illegal to smoke in your house when there are young children.

1 mom liked this

no. your kid is not asking for the cancer you're giving them when you force them to inhale your disgusting toxin filled breath. even if you're not breathing in their face, they still get it.

it is NOT your choice, you disgusting human being

I understand what you're saying, but they are two different issues. It's legal for an adult to choose to smoke cigarettes, and it should be legal for an adult to choose to smoke marijuana. It should never be legal for an adult to choose to put a child in an enclosed space with either types of smoke though. It's one thing if you want to kill your own body, it's another to put your child in that position.

Quoting Anonymous:

I don't understand how they are restricting cigarette smokers but at the same time are trying to make it legal to smoke pot.  Seems like in a few years they will be having this same fight with pot smokers.  Not saying I agree or disgaree with either law but it just seems strange to be restricting one and trying to get people to stop smoking tobacco while at the same time trying to make it legal to smoke weed. Weird.

My husband never smokes in the car. He has recently to get out of the cold with the door open, but not while me or my son is in the car.
