It depends on the story. Honestly. There's no better answer than that. It all has ratings, much like movies or TV shows, and you would need to monitor that if you're worried. There are plenty of non-sexual fanfiction stories, but there are also many that are basically erotica.

Well, if that's what the school is telling you, it's probably true. They have monitoring systems to pick up on stuff like that. Sorry. :-/

Depends on the story. The rated "M", no. There are T stories though.
Then there are "ships" (I don't know why it's called that) that fans write. These are usually very sexual. It could be just about any character and whoever the writer thinks is best for that character. In the Glee fandom, there are plenty of fanfics about "Klaine" (Kurt and Blaine), or "Kadam" (Kurt and Adam"). I knew a girl in High school who wrote about Dragon Ball Z, that was my first intro to fanfic. Hers were pretty sexually graphic, but a with a good story.
Just be careful and keep an eye on it.

Pretty much what she said. if it's a continuation of a story, it usually isn't sexual. Like Harry Potter. A lot of fans wrote about his kids going to Hogwarts or a "what if" of Harry and the elder wand.

I read FF frequently and the only ones that have sexual material is the stories rated "M".
If you go to the site it has an outline of the ratings and what the story should contain.
Quoting Bluescorpia:
T stories? What is that?

She's reading stories about one direction. So this is how "Larry"came about...

I don't know much about One Direction, but if what she's reading if sexual, then it's between those two boys "Larry". These fanfics are mostly found on blogs. I know Tumblr has a lot....not that I read any. Lol, I really don't. I "like" a page on FB and they post about "Klaine" fanfics all the time.
