He was freaking fired!

My husband got fired from Wal-Mart yesterday, he had to leave on short notice Saturday because his Maw-Maw (grandmother) was rushed to the hospital for passing out, and she hit her head pretty hard...the family called saying it might be it for her. (Of course Maw-Maw is doing great now, because she said she is too stubborn to die lol..i love her!) ANNNYWAY, my husband has had to miss work a few times because he is also a student teacher and Wal-Mart would schedule him sometimes even when they know he has asked for that time off. If he misses just two days of his student teaching then he doesn't graduate...and right now the degree is more important. So he was fired.
Instead of coming home to tell me, he starts at one end of town and goes in each and every place (fast food, gas stations, hotels...ALL) to fill out an application, and ask if they are hiring. Three hours into it, he gets a job! Walgreens hired him (as long as he passes the drug test) right then and there. They said they will always work around the schedule AND it's a pay increase.
So instead of my husband coming home and saying "I got fired", he came home and said "well I have a new job!" I am so thankful for my husband's willingness and drive to care for our family, no matter what it takes.
I'm glad he was able to find another job so quickly and that grandma is OK.
This is what i always do when I need work! I walk one side and down the other of a busy street applying everywhere. Good hubby!!!
