Nobody gives a crap what you "gave up" for Lent.

There is coworker that has told EVERY single one of us, every single day that she "gave up" chocolate for Lent. She goes on and on about how proud she is of herself, and basically just won't shut the fuck up about it.

She has asked me twice now what I decided to fast from for Lent.

How many times do I have to tell her that I don't practice any religion, and that I would rather not discuss it at work. Shit like that tends to cause problems.

I asked her Friday if she realized that by talking and obsessing about what she "gave up" she was kind of defeating the purpose. I'm no expert...but I do know a little about Christianity...and it doesn't promote braggards, from what I gathered in a religion class in college.

She hasn't spoken to me since......work has been peaceful, and I do feel rather smug about my answer. Triple win, bitches;)

I feel the same way about the "What did you buy with your food stamps" and "What are you buying with your tax refund", ahem welfare refund check.

see? you get it!!! It's not that I am being mean, I just don't care. I will listen to her most of the time and just let it go right out the other ear....but she has gotten so persistent. Is there a sign-on bonus or something if you wrangle people into coming to your church? Lol...I'm just joking;)
