Baby shower for your third baby.

Is it appropriate? To be honest, I never really expected one but my MIL is insisting. It is making me feel a little uncomfortable but she has her heart set on it. My last child was 5 years ago. So I am just wondering what is appropriate.
I threw one for my sister when she had her 3rd baby. All were boys and they weren't that far apart either. I think if someone feels it's not appropriate, they just should not attend.
Everyone feels so differently about it. In my area you don't have a second baby shower unless it is a the opposite sex.
If someone wants to, enjoy.
A baby shower is a time for your friends and family to come together and celebrate a new life, not about gifts and cake. It's about being together and letting mom know that this new addition is loved.
I don't care if a person has babies 9 months apart, every baby should be celebrated.
