Would you consider a good father...

Someone who only calls their kids once every 4 or 5 days? Someone who doesn't have any clue what's going on with them such as school, and when they get sick because they choose to not be involved?

My 6 year old has been sick with the flu since last Friday, and ex finally called. "What does he have a cold?" He was sent home from school, and I text him to let him know and heard nothing. Then he has the nerve to ask me to let him claim them on his taxes!

Why do you ask questions to which you already know the answers?  Who would call that a good father?

They'd be a better father than my oldest's father. She's 6 and he has never even met her. Never called to ask about her, never showed any hint of care or concern. I doubt he even knows how old she is or when her birthday is. If it weren't for forced CS, he wouldn't even know her name. Count your lucky starts that your children at least know what their father looks like.

I'm assuming you already know the answer to this.

He has this uncanny ability to come off that he's so great, and when I get upset and call him out on things, he downplays it and makes it seem that he's doing nothing wrong.

Nope.  How about uninvolved and useless to the point of extinction.
