My 2 year old had trouble sleeping tonight. She has a stuffy most so I thought it was a cold. She woke up crying and I couldn't get her to sleep so I took her downstairs. I noticed her upper lip is fat and swollen. Not like a bump, the whole thing. She seems uncomfortable but not in pain. We were just at the dentist today because her tooth is broken but there was no infection and like I said, she isn't I'm pain. I'm waiting for dr to call me back. What do you think it is.

I would take her to the ER. She could be having a reaction to the numbing agent they used or she could have a infection starting.

I would take her to the ER. Any swelling around the mouth can get serious.

I'm not sure, maybe an allergy of some kind.

Cold rag till Dr calls back.
May be just irritated.
But I know my DS had a broke tooth @ 4 & when we went to the Dentist no infection. A few days later his bottom lip swelled up double. it was the onset of infection.

anytime a child has swelling near the throat/ mouth there is a possibility it could obstruct her airway.

I'd go to the ER as well.  It could be an allergy to something and I'd hate if it ended up making it so she cannot breathe
