I will support her if imy daughter was pregnant

Posted by Anonymous   + Show Post

If my daughter (soon to be a teen) came home at age 15-16 and told me she was pregnant. i wouldn't kick her out but inform her of all her options. If she decides to keep the baby i would ensure she finishes school and has at least a part time job. School's here have daycare for teen mother's which is free. she will step up and do the right thing for her child. I could never throw my daughter or grandchild out on their asses. I don't understand how some of you ladies can say you would...Love shouldn't stop just because your child didn't grow up the way YOU planned. Shit happens you learn to deal with it or your going to miss out on something amazing.

Dh and I have talked about this. We have a pre-teen. We would NOT kick our child out if she got pregnant nor would we give her the option of abortion or adoption. We would help her raise her child and she would still have to finish school and go to college and make a great life for her and her child while we help her along the way.

Yeah but someone is going to have to watch that baby while she is in school and studying and working this job. That's a full schedule right there. And what does getting pregnant have to do with being 'adult enough.' A fucking ten yr old can get pregnant that doesnt make them any more responsible

I wouldn't raise my grandchild but i wouldn't kick them out. If my daughter made an adult choice to lay down and get pregnant she will be adult enough to do the right thing and raise her own child...I would just be there to spoil my grandbaby

What is the point in her having the child if everyone else is going to raise it? And have you ever watched Teen Mom? Those bitches never keep a job, let alone stay in school. I think that damn Chelsea and Amber have been trying for three years to get their GED LMAO

She will have to find child care for the baby or if i have a day off work i will watch the baby. Any person under the age of 18 who lays down and make's a baby is making an adult choice. You do not have to agree with it but that's just how i feel.

Okay, you are a mom, so surely you understand this...One does not just "find" childcare. Unless you have a very generous friend or family member that has nothing better to do than watch the child for free, then childcare is something that has to be paid for, just like any other service. A thousand stay at home moms on here can tell you that that shit doesn't come cheap. Even if the school were to provide childcare during the day, that doesn't account for work. There would actually be no point in her working because it would cost more for a sitter than she could possibly bring in. And once again...she would never see the child. As far as your statement about how this is how you "feel"....I understand, but this is not about feelings...it's about facts and logic. People need to really stop and think these things through completely before making unrealistic asusmptions.
