What would you think about a white woman wearing a head scarf? pic for example...

What would you think/ How would you feel if you saw a woman who is very obviously White American to the core (Polish/English heritage) wearing a head scarf? One similar to the one worn by the woman in the picture?

I think head scarves are beautiful, and I would love to wear one, I just think women who wear traditional head scarfs look/seem so dignified and elegant. It's very feminine, soft & pretty.

Bonus it hides a bad hair day! (bad humor, sorry)

HOWEVER, I understand and respect the religious/cultural reasons for wearing one, and I don't want to offend anyone or appear disrespectful!! I am also concerned that because I have piercings & tattoos that people will think it's just some crazy fashion statement that I'm trying to make.

I don't really care what people think of ME, but I don't want to cross a line that should be respected for those religious/cultural reasons. And here I am asking what you think lol. So if this statement makes any sense at all to you, you're awesome.

I guess I'm asking more along the lines of is it Just Plain Wrong for a white girl with tattoos to rock a head scarf just because she loves the way a woman looks in one?

No. Wear it if you like. People are way too easily offended. I don't cater to people who get offended over stupid stuff.

Considering there are plenty of white muslims, as well as other cultures that cover their hair, I wouldn't think anything.

I have seem.white people wear them, but because they actually practice the religion.

I want to buy one. A black one, so I can wear when i don't feel like messing with my hair. I told my SO and he doesn't like the idea :/

People of certain cultures may find it disrespectful or offensive and I wouldn't ever wear one but if it's what you like then I don't see the problem. Just be prepared for possible negative reactions.

It seems a bit weird but not offensive imo
