I did something I regret

Posted by Anonymous   + Show Post
About 45 mins ago my baby (6 months) woke up from a night terror. I didn't know this until I researched it later. While he was screaming bloody murder and crying bf was yelling at me and getting me flustered. It's like him yelling at me was more important than the baby and I was trying to make him see that it's not about us. I didn't know what to do for my son and in high intense situations I tend to freak out and get anxiety. Bf wouldn't leave me alone and let me tend to the baby so I punched him in the face to get his attention and make him realize my seriousness that he needs to leave me alone. I feel bad but I don't know what to do or say other than "sorry" which isn't much. Help!

He would be justified in calling the cops and reporting the abuse.

Awful!
You should be thankful he didn't press charges or smack you!
Domestic violence is a horrible thing.

So if she was being a bitch and he punched her would that be cool?

I'm pretty sure 6 months old is too young for night terrors.

You are lucky he didn't call the cops. You would of been arrested. Domestic abuse is just as wrong whether it is done by the male or female.

You should of taken the baby to another room.

Yes he was wrong, but you were more wrong.

You need to get counseling for domestic violence and chances are you and your bf shouldn't be together if you bring out the toxic in each other.

Then everyone would be telling her to leave, what a terrible man he is...

You should have been punched back.

He wouldn't let you tend to the baby? So the baby was screaming his head off and your boyfriend started freaking out on you? What was he saying and how was he preventing you from tending to the baby? Anyway, so you punched him in the face to get him away from you (domestic violence is ALWAYS wrong) and then took care of the infant? Correct or am I reading this wrong?
