Pageants are degrading to women and it should be considered abuse when a parent puts their kids in one.

The fact that the name's close to Miss America makes me think it's a scam of some sort.

Yeah, my daughter was selected to attend a conference for them. Anyone can sign up, however you have to pass a series of "tests" and you will have to dish out a ton of money and be able to travel.


edit: also, this particular pageant is not "degrading" as someone above said I was actually impressed on how age appropriate it was...as far as make-up and clothing, and because the participants are minors/teenagers, they also don't do a bathing suit walk.
