I want to know the gender of my baby. Dhs family are begging me to find out so they can send me things since they live in California and we are in Florida. I won't be able to have a baby shower because I don't live near anyone I know. My mom was just on the phone yelling at me saying why can't I just have a surprise. And that I need to just buy green and yellow things. I DONT LIKE GREEN OR YELLOW I LIKE PINK OR BLUE. she just doesn't get it.

Tell her you would be more than happy to keep it a suprise for her, but you want to know and so does your dh. As the baby is coming out of you, its your call, not hers .

With green and yellow things there are limited ways to decorate. My husband is very manly and I am very girly. We don't want a duck themed room, we want sports/princess ya know?

soo funny my mom couldn't wait to know the baby gender --- but my in laws were like don't tell us -- so we had to keep the baby room closed cause they would have been like - Oh its a boy - the second i decorated LOL
