A week or so ago a mom posted a story on here where a woman said even if you do breastfeed you should pump it and give it to the child in a bottle, because later on it'll make them feel odd that they  had their mouth on your breast !

Now, I think that's just insane, as that is why God made those breast in the 1st place.

So, today I told my kids they were breastfed, explained what that meant and asked how that made them feel and what they thought. I have a son & 2 daughters and they are all old enough that if it was going to make them feel odd, it would by now.

They all said it was fine with them & that's what they thought you were supposed to do with your baby.

I was happy to hear that .  My son said that's what he wants his wife to do and that he thought the stuff in bottles stunk and my girls said it's what they want to do with their babies because they thought it was better for their babies.

All I had said to them was "  hey guys, I wanted to tell you something, when you were babies I breastfed you guys which means you drank milk from my boobies, what do you think of that ?"

that is exactly what I said.  None of them were shocked or thought it was gross or strange at all.  They've been around a LOT of babies and some were breastfed and some were bottle fed.

We  had temporary custody of our infant nephew last year for a couple months last year and they got pretty familier with babies at that point also.

I *thought* that was copied from a blog...but I could be wrong.

My boys ask how come some babies don't drink from their mom's boobs when they see a baby bottle fed. their candor makes me laugh.

I was saying a mom on here posted a story  ( not made a post of her own )  where a woman said (( not saying something herself)  :-)

My kids remember nursing and see others do it a lot.

That is what breasts are for, it is very obvious to them.

lol yeah I know !!  I know a LOT Of people  who were breastfed and  I don't think I've ever heard anyone say they thought it was gross.  I've actually heard more people say they were bummed that they were NOT breastfed ! Both my husband & I were not breastfed because our moms couldn't and we both have said many times we wished we were

sad thing is, most kids understand it and react better towards it than most adults do....It's ridiculous but true..
