Do you take the baby moniter out of your child's room? My ds will be 3 in a few months. He can open his door and everything himself so I am wondering if its the right time to take the moniter out of his room.

Lol! Wow! You still have a baby monitor at 3? Pretty sure your 3 yr old can come get you if he needs anything.

I never used one. We have a small house and he sleeps across the hall from us.
My dils still keep theirs active even though my grandkids are 4-7 years old. Their bedrooms are quite separate from the living areas and the monitor is handy in keeping track of whats going in that part of the house. When I sit for them, out of habit I will check if the monitor is on. I think it will depend on how comfortable you feel with out it. I must admit, it is handy on keeping track of multiple active little people and getting ahead tussles.

I plan on putting another one in my daughter's new room and she will be 3 next month.. so I'm no help :/

lol yes, it's time. If he can open the door himself, he can come get you... I never used one, my dd always slept in the room with us and the walls in the house we lived in when DS was very small had paper thin walls.
