I couldn't do a month at 2. My almost 7 year old ya and she would have a blast. But I think a week at 2 is plenty long

I left my kid for 13 months so yeah, I would.

No way in hell would I even consider it. That baby doesn't understand its just a visit and it will be a huge adjustment both going and then coming back home. Don't put him through that for no reason.

I let my MIL keep my 2.5 year old for a month.  DH and I greatly benefited from the time, as we were struggling with some issues.

BUT

I wouldn't do it again.  MIL completely ignored my wishes.  He came back a spoiled brat who threw a 45 minute fit because he didn't have to drink water at MIL's, but I wouldn't give him chocolate milk every time he was thirsty.

its not a bad idea but a month is a long time not to see ur baby! i honestly dont think i could do it. i know every mama needs a break at sum point but i just love my baby way to much to let him go away from me for a month! just my opinon. there is no right or wrong answer. just what u think is right for u and ur child. if u think its a good idea then go for it. i just dont think i would like to be away from my son that long. ..

Well lets see, my son is going to be 7 in April. The longest I have ever left him was 2 days......I could not imagine him being gone for a month. I personally would NOT let my 2 year old go.

My dd never spends not even a week with any of her grandmothers, a weekend is enough unless its an emergency

my children are not allowed to spend that kind of time away from home until they know how to use the phone, have memorized their home address/phone number, can memorize the address/phone number they'll be staying at and understand that they are many hours away from home and can't just be picked up on a whim.
