A month is too long. A week was all DS could do at 3 and that was pushing it and not exactly fun at night time for my parents. DS is going to be 8 soon and this summer he will go for 2 weeks by his own decision. He did 1 and 1/2 weeks two years ago. It was suppose to be 2 weeks. I had to go up early. It was too much.

I am all about me time, but at that age, too long.

Besides I bet she cuts it short:/ it's probably been a long time since Gma had a two year old.

This. Up to a half week maybe. Way too young

In my opinion, a month is an awfully long time for a two year old.  I would try first for a few days and work up to it.

LOL, he won't be mad, he will miss you, but I bet he will have fun especially with grandma since most grandmas spoil the hell out of their grandchildren.

At that age, I think a month is far too long.  A week or two at the most would be sufficient.  When he's older, then you can consider the month long trips.

Thats rough. DH has been serving in Korea for 2 years, he is home in less than 2 weeks. Kudos to you for being able to serve and leave your child, I know I couldn't do it.

I refuse to even let my daughter stay away for a weekend. I'm not against her spending one night away, we just haven't crossed that bridge yet. She will be two in May.
