I am going frugal on the wedding, even though we could afford more, I am not going to spend money on a lot of the things I can do myself- like invitations.  I went to a couple of online sites and they wanted no less than $80, so I thought I would just get a couple of packs from the Walmart and do them myself.  I have done stuff like this before and honestly, they still look pretty nice and you would never know I did them at home for half of the price.

However, what I saved in cost, I lost in time.  It has taken me 5 hours to do 100 invites, 100 response cards, and putting our address on all 200 envelopes. 

Yay!  I am finally done!  Now all I have to do is address them.  UGH!

Should I have just paid the extra?  WWYD?

I ordered my invites for $45.00 from a website. We put about 65 of them together. Mom, my cousin, and myself took a girls night to do it.

I did my whole wedding diy style. My mom and sisters did an assembly line making my invites and they were awesome. I'm glad I didn't buy them.

I would have had them printed. I also would pay someone to write them out cause my handwriting sucks.

Mine took so weeks to finish. They are very intricate. I saved about 500 bucks for 100 invitations. I couldn't have been happier and I'm glad I did it.

my time is always more valuable to me than money. with the exception of car washing, because I'd rather spend an hour doing it myself - correctly - than sit bored for an hour while someone else does a subpar job. ;)

No, I am too frugal for that. I didn't have a wedding, we eloped and it was much more fun for us.
