My friend is 2 days past her due date (if that makes a difference) she's having contractions 5-6 minutes apart in tears from them, she's at a 3 and has been spotting since this morning the contractions have her in a lot of pain, she went in thinking it was time, and they are sending her home, is this right?

She might just be a wimp (not meant to be mean). She needs to progress or be at least at a 4 to be admitted if her water hasn't broken.

I wouldn't want to be at a hospital that soon anyhow. They don't let you eat or drink. Fuck that.

Pretty much. 3 cm is not active labor. It sucks, but That's how it is! Past due or not, unless you are
4-5cm, you labor at home

She'll be more comfortable at home. She'll be able to move, eat and drink freely.

I have got to stop opening these posts. The more I read about labor the more freaked out I get.
