Is this a good reason?

My daughter is in kinder. She was sent home today because he was eating lunch and i guess got something stuck in her throat and was coughing which made her throw up.

I got a call from the nurse explaining what happened. My daughter also told her she had been sick over the weekend and that her tummy hurt.

I told the nurse that she was indeed sick friday night and some of saturday but saturday evening and all of sunday she was fine as was she this morning before school.

She has no fever.

Is this a good enough reason for her to be sent home or should she have been able to complete the day?

Because of the seriousness of sickness going around anytime someone vomits they send them home.  If your worried then email teacher and ask if you can pick up make up work for your child to do at home.  That's what I do with my kindergartner.

Sounds like a reason to go home, ASAP.

I think that's a good reason. When my kids were in school the nurse called and tried to send my daughter home because she jammed her finger. When I asked why she thought my daughter needed to miss half a day of school for that the nurse said, "So she can rest her finger." I laughed and hung up. She was always calling with the stupidest reasons for me to pick my kids up.
