Law students are great. DH wants to be a lawyer just so he could pull stunts like that.

Good for the the young man. People shouldn't let cops bully them.

Lol love it. I'm that type of way. Just last week while at a shopping center. I noticed a police officer randomly running plates in the parking lot. Where I live this is highly illegal. Because 1 parking lots are considered private property. 2 it is entrapment and stalking.

I agree, people should know their rights.  Cops owe you NOTHING.  If they ask to do a search and you agree, they will rip your car apart and all the things in it.  If they happen to break something, YOU have to pay to fix it, not them.  If you don't consent, they'll try to scare you.  But then when they search the car against your consent, if they break something THEY have to pay to fix it!  So even though I have nothing to hide, I'll never consent to a search.  They're going to do what they're going to do, but it won't be on my dime if they ruin something.

The police have every right to ask if he has a permit.

I say good for him for knowing his rights, not just blowing smoke out of his bum, but for actually knowing his legal rights and standing up for them. On the flip side though I can see some people misconstruing his words and trying to use them for illegally carrying a weapon.

Yeah, we'd all be outraged that the cop didn't do anything if that kid walked down the street and shot up a place of business.

Is this on YouTube by chance? I'm mobile and can't watch it on FB.
If not can someone explain it?
