My shoulder is dead and I'm freaking out

The bones in my shoulder are dead. I didn't even know that was possible. It's going to mean eventual shoulder replacement. I'm only 31! He's hopeful that we can manage the pain with cortisone shots for a few years. But seriously, my bones are DEAD??!?

What do you mean it's "dead".  It can't be dead, or you would be going septic.

You mean you have what they call a "frozen" shoulder?  What is the proper medical term and maybe we can tell you some encouraging stories...

You are only 31.  This can't be the only answer.  Doctors don't know everything.

How did you find out? My husband has pain in his shoulder but they have not done any further testing, just recommended the cortisone shot for pain.

The more time passes old people aren't the only ones who need replacements and surgery bc of bone, spinal, etc issues.

I completely feel you though...  good luck!
