how much is do you ladies think is fair to pay a family member to watch you child? my dad's gf is going to be watching my daughter while I work. its not going to a permanent thing. my bf is in FL for a while. I asked her how much she wanted and she said she doesn't know that whatever I can afford is fine. I don't make a lot of money but I want to be fair. I work nights so she will be feeding my daughter dinner and putting her to bed 3 nights a week and 2 nights a week I will be off work in time to pick her up before bed. I do take food for my daughter because she is picky and I know she won't always eat what they do. TIA

I paid my mom $80 a week. But my mother drove to my house every day, put DD on the bus when necessary and made breakfast/lunch. She also did a little light cleaning for me.

I usually work 38 hrs a week. sometimes more if someone calls out.

Clicked on that and I think that's crazy..mine came up with 9.25 an hour. My babysitter was soo happy I offered to pay her $50 for the weekend, about 16 hours of work.

when I was working DH was home two hours after i left.

I paid minimum wage to my sitters (while praying they would be so happy with the money they wouldnt beat my kids...there's a video on here of a slap happy nanny)

i had no issue paying someone a premium. i always thought my kids were worth it

if you cant afford to pay your sitter then perhaps you should look into state funding via DHS.
