Oh, so embarassing! My acrylic nail fell off in the meatloaf!

I'm so embarrassed. I've been dating this guy for a few months and wanted to impress him with my domestic skills, make him think I'm good wife material. So I invited him over for dinner tonight. I made a meatloaf with some homemade cheesy mashed potatoes, broccoli cheese casserole, cresents, and brownies from scratch. Everything was going so good, we were laughing and making lots of hints towards some romance later tonight. Then he bit down, got a funny look on his face and spit out a bite of meatloaf. And there I saw my acrylic nail bitten in half. I apologized profusely. I was in such a focus on cooking that I didn't even realize it had fallen off. He excused himself to the bathroom and I'm pretty sure I heard him throw up. I feel like crap. He ended up leaving shortly after, made some excuse about helping him ds with a project for school. Tomorrow's Saturday. I don't blame him for leaving but I'm just so upset. I hope this hasn't ruined our budding relationship.

Unfortunately no. I was so focused on cooking that I didn't even look at my hands.

I don't have to look. I can feel when they come off/break.
