One of my "Littles" ....there's something going on at home & I can't help her. :(  Her smile was huge & contagious, then her Parents kept her out & when she came back her smile was gone. I just wanna hold & hug her.

ETA: one of my Dance Students...she's talented & smart & LOVES to Dance & Always had a SMILE....there's something going on at home....she's just sad now unless she is dancing

It breaks my heart! She LOVES to Dance, I can see the joy and comfort it gives her...She wants to be her Best & is so smart...when she misses classes (because of whatever is going on) I can plainly see the frustration & discouragemnt in her eyes when she can't do the steps...even though she picks them up soooo quickly!

Quoting FL2AK:

That is so sad.

You may want to try to carefully speak with the mother about it. Just mention that she seems sad lately and is there a problem - or something like that. If you suspect abuse, report it. Otherwise, just be her happy place and keep encouraging her.
