Taking DD's friend on vacation

I'm planning a 5 day, 4 night vacation for our family at the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas.
For the three of us, it would be $6,500
For a family of four (2 adults, 2 kids), it would be $4,500
I was thinking of asking one of her closest friends if she would like to join us. We are also close friends with her parents. However, my husband says no parent in their right mind would let their child leave the country on vacation with a friend at 4 years-old. Her friend wouldn't have to pay for anything. We would be in a suite, so the girls would have their own room. All she needs is a suitcase and a passport.
Is 4 years-old too early to travel with friends? Would you let your 4 year-old vacation with friends?
Edit: Her cousins are either teenagers or infants.
We do have babysitter that watches her 2 days a week for 4 hours, but she's 22. I don't think it would be fun for her.
Now that I think about it, I wouldn't let my daughter leave the country with this friend, but I would allow her to vacation with them. We've taken each other's daughters for the weekend and to the beach which is 2 hours away. GRR! I guess this is one of the downsides you have to deal with when you choose to have an only child.
Never, would my 4 yr old go!! Maybe if she was like 13 or so I might be ok, 4 not so much.
