Mac & your Race/Nationality
If you have purchased (not received it as a gift) a Mac desktop or Macbook, please tell me your race/nationality. If your dh/so purchased it then post his/her race/nationality-not yours.
This is for a discussion I'm having with my dh. I will update later if I get a few responses. Thank you.
Edit: Thank you for the replies. My dh is against Apple/Mac. He claims people of his race/nationality don't buy macs because of the price.
Edit: Now he's claiming his race/nationality are out because it's the weekend. LMAO! So they aren't here to defend themselves and his crazy point. Thanks for the replies ladies!

Well I did but I'm not going to lose sleep over some anon not believing that.
Quoting Anonymous:
Because I doubt she threw it away. Lol
Quoting mrsrodgers0703:
Why throw it in the garbage instead of giving to a school or something like that? Maybe even sell it on Ebay. That's crazy to just chuck it away.
Quoting banana-bear:
I would never buy one and I'm white. My husband would never buy one, he's Hispanic. I was gifted an Apple laptop and chucked it in the trash. I hated that thing.
I actually was not inferring anything about your post. I was trying to see what stereotype she was attempting to apply here? I know plenty of black people with Macs and plenty of white people with them. I think your husband is using his ethnicity as an excuse he should just be real and tell you that you know he doesn't want to spend the money lol
Quoting Anonymous:Would you mind reading my reply up above? I would appreciate if you could please delete this comment because this is not what my post is about. Thank you.

I have a bad feeling this is gonna be used to perpetuate a stereotype....That white people blow money on Macs and can do absolutely no upgrading with them? Where as non-whites spend less on the PC and can do a shit ton of upgrades?

He already admitted he doesn't want to spend the money. I included that in the EDIT in my OP. He just believes his whole heritage feels the same way. I don't think either one of us are stereotyping. He believes people of his heritage would agree with him. I didn't post any races so not to offend anyone.

I disagree completerly. I have found pc's get infected with everything. Macs pretty much stay clean.
Quoting Anonymous:
All PC and I prefer it that way. Hubby is also all Pc. We both do graphic design and are artsy.
I'm black and he's Mexican.
Also, it's very easy to hack a Mac. Just type it into google and you can by pass a password. O.o
i don't have one. I'm a one eyed one horned flying purple people eater.
No I mean he is just using his ethnicity to justify not wanting to spend the money lol...my mom is Hispanic and my stepdad is white, my sisters mom is Arabic and her stepdad is white...my sister asked for the iBook? The Apple laptop...all 4 of her parents agreed how stupid of an idea it would to spend the money on one...they told her how she couldn't upgrade it...if she wanted to open her documents on a PC...all kinds of things. Your hubs just needs to admit he is cheap lol

I wish you heard the argument. lol He's definitely not cheap in general; but he swears his race will not purchase a Mac. I wonder what tomorrows debate will bring with him haha.
