Is it discrimination for a job to require that you be able to speak another language for a position?

it's a clerical position
Not if that other language is required in your job.
LMAO Is a JOB REQUIREMENT, discrimination? LOL I have really heard it all, now. I don't know.. Is not hiring someone to be a doctor because they do not have a license to practice medicine discrimination? LOL Jesus Christ.. This country... smh
no, because if it were, than it would be discrimination to require you to have certain degrees or certificates for certain jobs.

No, they are looking for a particular skill. Some jobs require lifting, certain levels of education, years of experience, etc. Not everyone is qualified for every position-it is not discrimination.
