Do people use them for everyday meals?

I have only used paper plates a handful of time. Mostly birthday parties and cook outs. But even my family uses plates for cookouts.

We use them usually for sandwiches, bagels, dry snacks etc.

Generally I only use them like you, cook outs, large informal gatherings, kids parties, but on occasion I will use them for lunches, if I'm not in a doing dishes mood, or if dinner is a quick grab a pizza on the way home thing. But those are rare occasions.

Not us we have ceramic plates and use them when we eat and Grady has a few plastic plates that he uses.

Only when I'm feeding more people than I have plates, which isn't very often.

I think a ton of people use them. I only do for birthday parties. Seems so wasteful to use them daily instead of just washing the damn dishes.
