Who fakes trying to commit suicide?

Says she took a bunch of sleeping pills, but didn't end up in the hospital... The bottle was nearly full, now it only has 4 in there... But upon farther investigation, you find a bag of the missing sleeping pills.

How do you help someone like that?

Hell she wants the attention call the police to do a safety check on her.. tell them just what she is doing hopefully they will force her to do a 72 hr watch.. bet she wont cry wolf again..

Pretty much this. If she faked one, who knows if she's actually stable in the head to try and go through with it next time. And if you just sit and do nothing now and she actually does do it later, you'll feel guilty and at fault later...

Be there for her. Maybe that is her way of crying for help. Does she do this kind of stuff often? Maybe she is borderline. Maybe she is just sad and lonely. Maybe she just needs to feel like people care about her.

I call her someone crying for attention. Most people really suicidal, even for the attention, give it a serious try. Maybe she didn't know for sure someone would  "save" her.

I'd probably call her depressed. I'd try to help her get help.

My brothers baby mama did that several times. Once cps got involved and wanted to take the kids (she has 4 with 3 different dads), she stopped trying to get attention that way.

shes trying to get the attention of her dh, and i would still take it just as serious, just the thought or threat of commiting suicide is a red flag. imo
