so i ran into a lady with an unfortunate name last night.........
i was at RUH getting checked out and the lady who was the receptionist in L&D was a really quiet type of lady, and the nurse goes over my info, turns to her and says "hey, alckie, can you get her all registered?"
my jaw just about hit the floor. see, i don't about where you guys are, but "alckie" is slang for "alcoholic" and i was shocked because wow!!!! did that nurse just call the receptionist an "alckie"????
then i noticed her name tag.....Alckie.
holy cow. who the hell calls their kid the nick name for alcoholic? i felt bad for her, that must have been a rough one to grow up with!

My husband once knew a guy who's last name was Gaydick. Yeah, think about that. He got married and his wife actually took his name!
I found out an ex boyfriend of mine had a kid and named her Indica. As in, marijuana.

and it was her FIRST name. **cringes** and she was aboriginal, god i felt bad for her!!! REALLY nice lady though!!!! (please dont call me racist!!! i am sooo not racist)
annnd.....i'm starving. got a script for periot, but havent got it filled yet, i didnt get home until 1 am. i am contemplating some chicken noodle soup, maybe if i just sip sip...
