Ours is a long story, BUT, to answer briefly, we used the sleep easy solution, and it took two nights. Best thing we ever did, it took two night. We just had to do it again a year and some change later (our fault), and again, amazing decision, and it took a night.

Here is our long story if you are intrested.

We go with the baby's temperament. We co sleep for About 2 months and through growth spurts. We try our baby in a separate bed and if it works, awesome. If big we continue to co sleep.

I am not sure what sleep training even is? I just put all my babies in their crib for the night and tended to them as needed.

Just please don't CIO.  The levels of stress hormone in their little brains is downright scary.  :(  Like, stroke level scary.

Bed share until about one. Then I put them in their cribs for naps etc. Then bed time. Nurse them if they wake or just pat their backs. Not the "fastests"but its gentle and works

My baby co-slept. It was great. He slept great, and when he woke up at night, I just stuck boob in mouth, and went back to sleep. He is 18 now, has slept in his own bed for about 15 years how, and has alway great sleeping habits.
