Maybe they think it's unconstitutional? Idk personally but i think any company that cares about it's employees would want them to have health insurance.

Because they can't afford to pay employees, insurance, and make a profit.

Because they cannot afford to supply all full time employees with benefits. What is the point in running a business with no profit?

No profit....no business. It's that simple.

Because some of them can't afford to pay for all of the things Obamacare requires an employer to pay for.

Or, they just don't want to dip into their profits to pay out.

Or, they need a scapegoat and Obamacare is convenient.

I've heard of local companies threatening to shut or lay off workers for the first 2 reasons. I doubt anyone would admit the 3rd.

The company I work for is cutting everyone from full time to part time status and cutting all benefits,  They ran the numbers and its the only way for them to make a profit.

Many companies are just scraping by in this economy and the costs and the fees that accompany Obamacare will put them in the red and it's not worth going in the hole for.

Because Obamacare will cost employers a lot of money. If they have to pay those additional costs they cannot afford to pay all their employees or will have to drop many down to part time hours.

Funny though how Obama speaks of how great this program is yet approved waivers from it for some of the largest companies.
Quite hypocritical.

As the manager of a grocery store, if we provided insurance to our employees, we would have nothing to run on after that. Insurance is expensive and when they slam the obamacare down on these big companies, it will break them. Its going to do the same to small companies too. Our store is new, brand new, so our flow hasn't really been established yet. If we gave to start paying insurance on 9 employees, we wont make it a year. Obamacare is a bad idea.

Why do people think small business owner = rich?

Most small business's operate on a very narrow margin.

Add the mandated cost to insure employee's and you have just put them out of business.
