Leaving Your Child with Your Boyfriend...

Would you let your boyfriend watch your child? Recently my boyfriend offered to watch my son for an hour three times a week so I could go to the gym, since I'd been complaining I never have time to go, and my gym doesnt have a daycare. I told him I had to think about it. He's great with my son who's three and they get along well. He also lives at home with his parents (we're both 21 and he's saving for a house.) So chances are he wouldn't actually be alone with my son. I think he could handle it, but having bad experiences in the past with some of my moms boyfriends, I'm weary... Thoughts?

If he wouldn't be alone I wouldn't worry so much.

If he's shown great experience with him before, I'd let him watch him.

how long have you known him? I think that if you really had no doubts that you trusted him this wouldn't even be a question. Personally I wouldn't leave my kid alone with a man who is not his father.

Male aquantiances are the most common perpatrators of violence against children.

I would be cautious

If you're thinking that you want this boyfriend to be a permanent part of your family (marriage or otherwise), I'd let him. If he's just a fling or someone who you don't see a future with, then no.

Yes but only because my boyfriend is the father of all 3 of my children. :)
