LOL.  Both my mother and grandmother were the same way.  To learn family favorites I had to just go watch them as they made the dishes and then have them help me when I tried to make it.  It was great bonding time as adults for us.  www.eatingwell.com has some good and healthy recipes. Good luck!

Thank u very much. Mine live to far away. And the only advice they give is "just grab everything you have in the fridge and or freezer and mix it together"

any four cans of bean, can of tomato paste, can of diced tomatoes, lb. of ground turkey, stir in a pot for about 30 mins. Easy, quick Chili.  You can add onion or pepper to taste.

Get a crock-pot and put an already marinated roast in it with some red potatoes, carrots, onion, and pepper. Add some water and cook 4-6 hours. Delicious, easy, hearty.
